Oh, I thought Geneforge 4
was very good actually. I was pleased by the way you could betray the rebels, and the shaping system was better than in Geneforge 3
. It also dealt with the canisters very nicely, you really did risk becoming quite psychotic if you over-indulged. Disrespect = RARGH!
I would have to agree though, Geneforge 3
is probably the best game in the series. It allowed you to play as a Shaper, after all, and Alwan and Greta were great fun to interact with. I particularly enjoyed the third island. Now of course, I have yet to play Geneforge 2
. I heard that there is supposed to be some kind of heretical mage/shaper faction in that game, should be interesting to join. As I mentioned earlier, I would like to try something less loyal for a change, but the rebels always make me feel sick.
