I've been juggling between Crusader Kings as the Duchy of Sardinia, Empire Total War as the Austrian Empire, and Europa Universalis as the Holy Roman Empire, which is very irritating to form by the way.

Nice, I was just playing Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen on SNES. Then I switched back to Geneforge 3 and finished the game. Amazing ending, much longer than I had come to expect. Now I might just play Geneforge 5 again, I never tried the sorceress class. Unfortunately I simply can not enjoy playing a rebel, and I already know all the pro-Shaper endings. Maybe I should go Trakovite this time. :P

Playing RUSE. Decent enough WW2 RTS.

Instead of just building a giant army and marching to the enemy base you'll actually have to use different tactics to win such as sending dummy units to distract your foe from the actual attack. Hiding AT-guns and infantry in forests and cities to ambush incoming tanks and other enemy troops. Using propaganda to make the enemy retreat or to make your troops fight to the end no matter what. Every civilization has their own units including some prototypes (ex. Maus Super-Heavy Tanks for Germany etc.).

Sadly, there are no Wingbolts in the game. They were my favourite creations in Geneforge 5, and now I have to make do with pesky Gazers and Glaakhs instead. But hey, on the plus side, I can have Alwan in my party! :)
Holy fucking shit dicks I fucking love me some god damn Geneforge. You can make dragons and shit and they can burn everything.

In all seriousness I love the Geneforge series but the story got really convoluted after like the third game. First had the best story in my opinion.

Oh, I thought Geneforge 4 was very good actually. I was pleased by the way you could betray the rebels, and the shaping system was better than in Geneforge 3. It also dealt with the canisters very nicely, you really did risk becoming quite psychotic if you over-indulged. Disrespect = RARGH!

I would have to agree though, Geneforge 3 is probably the best game in the series. It allowed you to play as a Shaper, after all, and Alwan and Greta were great fun to interact with. I particularly enjoyed the third island. Now of course, I have yet to play Geneforge 2. I heard that there is supposed to be some kind of heretical mage/shaper faction in that game, should be interesting to join. As I mentioned earlier, I would like to try something less loyal for a change, but the rebels always make me feel sick. :)
