First I was like "meh", but the vehicle combat actually looks really cool.

I've been playing this game the past 2 days and already clocked it at 13 hours of gameplay (19% complete). While it's nothing special in the open world genre (mix Rage and Shadow of Mordor), the Mad Max-atmosphere is very well done. The game makes me keep coming back for "just one more mission", but suddenly 3 hours have passed. Reviews are mixed (ranging from a 5 to a 9), but I'm enjoying it a lot. Avalanche (Just Cause) showed they have a lot of love for the Mad Max-universe. The wastelands look great and Chumbucket is probably one of the best video game sidekicks ever.

The PC-port is very well done. It runs smooth as butter and my 970 can run it at max with 60fps. It's currently cheap on cdkeys.com, price varies between 15 and 20 bucks.

Also, if you plan on playing this, leave the blur option on. I usually despise this in video games, but in Mad Max it's very well implemented and adds to the atmosphere, instead of being a visual gimmick (which gives you a headache).

I usually avoid movie based games like the plague, but this one looks alright. Might give it a shot.

Although it's not a movie tie-in, as it was in development since 2008. There was going to be another Mad Max game, which was a movie tie-in, but it was scrapped as EA acquired the rights. In the end, Avalanche decided to put in some references to Fury Road, such as having the son of Immortan Joe as the main villain.
