I've only read the stories about how strong this tank used to be before they nerfed it to death. It basically became obsolete. After the recent patch this week, 9.8, the SP got his front armor buffed and I decided to buy one. And I'm happy I did. The SP is a beast once again, with nearly invicible front armor (although it has two small weakspots). Two games, 4000 damage blocked by armor.

The SP can now carry games again, with it effective 300-something front spaced armor. If you can keep the front of this tank pointed at the enemy, especially hull down, you'll have a blast. In my two games so far, I just kept rolling and rolling, nothing could stop me. I believe I was hit about 30 times, of which only 4 penetrated. Just don't get flanked, side- and rear amor is almost non-existent.

It's slow for a medium (acts like a heavy) and has a pretty long aim time. But that doesn't hold any weight against that fantastic frontal armor. Now quickly buy it before WG decides to remove it because of the limited matchmaking...

People who had one back in the say always say that frontal armor was nearly invincible. It's nearly invincible again.

Invincible only against people who shoot at the stronger parts.

Hence why you shouldn't get flanked and wiggle to prevent them from shooting your gun port or comm hatch.

Still a bad tank... I'm glad I got it for free.
